THACO and PV Oil sign the MOU in supplying special vehicles

On 26 April 2017, in Chu Lai - Truong Hai Auto Manufacture and Assembly Complex (in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone - Quang Nam Province), the signing of the cooperation in supplying special vehicles, transport services, and gasoline between Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) and Petro Vietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil) took place. Attending the event were Mr Tran Ba Duong - THACO Chairman, and Mr Cao Hoai Duong - PV Oil General Director.
THACO and PV Oil signed the MOU in product supply. Accordingly, PV Oil chooses THACO as its supplier of special vehicles and trucking and oversea transport services; meanwhile, PV Oil will supply gasoline and oil for THACO's transport and distribution system.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Tran Ba Duong - THACO Chairman said: THACO is speeding up the research and development of special vehicles, applying suitable technologies, and constantly creating high-level products to meet the market demands in Vietnam. Apart from auto manufacture and assembly, THACO also focuses on developing delivery-transport activities, full-package logistics with different transportation modes: trucking, oversea, and intermodal transportation with high-quality and affordable ports and warehouses which meet the needs of investors in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and the Central key economic region, all of which develop Chu Lai into the logistics center in the central area.

At the signing ceremony, Mr Cao Hoai Duong - PV Oil General Director said: To implement the development of retailing and distribution activities in the coming time, PV Oil has surveyed the market and chosen THACO as its supplier of the fuel tank trucks to transport fuels throughout PV Oil's retailing system. Having high confidence in the high quality and utilities of special vehicles particularly, vehicles generally as well as THACO's logistics activities, PV Oil decides to establish its long-term cooperation with THACO.

After the event, THACO has organized the handover of the first 13 fuel tank trucks for PV Oil. This is a mobile fuel supplying vehicle named THACO Xitec 6000L which has been under THACO's research and development on the modern lines transferred from CIMC.


The vehicle is equipped with a petrol pump pit with Japanese-standard imported components. It has stable quality and safety tests according to Vietnamese standards. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with generators that are convenient for operations; ventilators and 6 fire extinguishers to increase the vehicle safety. The tank is made of alloy steel together with surface-shot-blasting technology which reduces welding stress, increases durability by 5 times compared to conventional tanks. Spray drying technology also provides the vehicle with durability and aesthetics.
